Whipped Frosting
When my mom started making cakes she decided to go with whipped frosting instead of buttercream because it was not as sweet and quite tasty. Once she started making cakes for family and friends everyone really seemed to enjoy it so we rarely ever make buttercream frosting. Instead we use this one, and it’s always a hit.
Ingredients:
Pastry Pride Whipped Topping
Meringue Powder
Mix pastry pride and meringue powder into mixing bowl. Mix at medium speed for about 10-15 minutes or until you’ve reached medium peaks.
When it looks like this you are ready to decorate your cakes and cupcakes. Make sure not to over whip or it will get too hard and you won’t be able pipe.
If you happen to over whip don’t worry. You can fix it by adding more thawed pastry pride until you have reached the consistency you’d like.
